Mepilex® Transfer Foam Exudate Transfer Layer is designed as a primary wound contact dressing. It draws exudate from the wound and transfers the fluid to a secondary absorbent dressing, maintaining a moist wound environment. The dressing is soft, thin, and highly conformable, making it easy to keep in contact with the wound surface and surrounding skin, even in difficult-to-dress areas.

Thanks to Safetac® technology, the original pain-reducing contact layer with silicone adhesion, Mepilex Transfer molds gently to the skin without sticking to the moist wound bed, allowing for easy removal without causing skin damage. This results in less pain for patients. Additionally, it seals the wound margins, preventing leakage and reducing the risk of maceration.

When to Use Mepilex Transfer:

It can also be used as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds or large areas of fragile skin.
