Mepilex Border Heel Five-layer foam dressing for pressure ulcer prevention and management of heel wounds

Mepilex® Border Heel dressing is the only five-layer foam heel dressing featuring proprietary Deep Defense Technology®, proven to prevent pressure ulcers when used in conjunction with standard prevention protocols.

This all-in-one dressing design also creates an optimal healing environment for managing moderate- to high-exuding wounds on the heel. It effectively absorbs and retains exudate while balancing moisture properly to avoid the risk of maceration.

The newly-enhanced design includes handling tabs and thicker borders for easier application and patient checking. The heel shape has been refined to ensure good coverage of the high-risk heel area and the malleoli.

The design still incorporates Safetac®, the original less-pain contact layer with silicone adhesion, ensuring the dressing molds softly to the skin without sticking to the moist wound. This allows for easy removal without damaging the skin, reducing pain for patients.
