Mepilex® Border Heel is the only five-layer foam heel dressing with proprietary Deep Defense Technology®—proven to help prevent pressure ulcers when used alongside standard prevention protocols.
This all-in-one dressing also creates an optimal healing environment for managing moderate- to high-exuding wounds on the heel. It effectively absorbs and retains exudate while maintaining proper moisture balance to reduce the risk of maceration.
The enhanced design includes new handling tabs and thicker borders, making application easier and allowing for simple patient monitoring. The refined heel shape provides excellent coverage of the high-risk heel area and the malleoli.
Mepilex® Border Heel still features Safetac®, the original less-pain contact layer with silicone adhesion. The dressing molds softly to the skin without sticking to the moist wound, allowing for easy removal without damaging the surrounding skin—resulting in less pain for patients.
